Swanswell’s new extended hours service offers increased alcohol support
10 February 2011
Swanswell’s making it even easier for people with alcohol misuse problems in Warwickshire to get help when they need it,
thanks to a new extended hours service.
Usually anyone worried about their alcohol consumption can speak to Swanswell’s trained alcohol workers by visiting regular drop-in sessions or by calling services in Rugby, Leamington or Nuneaton during office hours (9am to 5pm).
Now, the national charity - which wants to achieve a society free from problem alcohol and drug use – is offering additional support in Warwickshire through an extended hours telephone service.
It’s available every Thursday from 8am to 9am and from 5pm to 8pm, by calling 01788 559400 (providing an 8am to 8pm service on a Thursday).
Jo Woods, Operations Manager for Swanswell in Warwickshire, said: ‘We’ve introduced our extended service to make it even easier for people to speak to our specially trained alcohol workers when they need to. This is provided in addition to our regular drop-in sessions.
‘Each call will be treated in the strictest of confidence and is the first step to helping people change and be happy.’
