Carers support service

Supporting carers in Barnsley
At Swanswell we can offer you practical and emotional support when helping family members and friends who misuse drugs and/or alcohol.

What we do
For every person with a drug and/or alcohol problem there is usually at least one carer. We understand caring for someone with a substance misuse problem can be very isolating and difficult.

We can work with you and help you find practical ways of overcoming difficulties. We’ll help you to access:

  • group discussion sessions
  • individual therapeutic interventions
  • qualification opportunities
  • training and information
  • advice and guidance from trained professionals

Swanswell provides these services to carers as part of the drug and alcohol treatment service in Barnsley.
